new exhaust system
#1
I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether or not true duals would be better than a dual in/dual out system. The guy at one exhaust shop said that true duals would be better for performance throughout the entire power band. I would just like a few opinions on this. Also, would a true dual exhaust system require the use of an x-pipe before the mufflers?

Personally I don't believe so unless you have small diameter piping. The oem piping is fine, a new muffler is all you need. Flowmaster, Magnaflow or whatever. So many others have complained about losing low end torque which is necessary for "off the line" power. I think the guy just wants to sell you some pipe. Save your money. 185
I don't believe there is much to be gained AFTER the two sets of CATS. They are the log jam in all of this.

X2, as far as exhaust get what you like. The difference is only cosmetic between most systems. As long as you replace the Y-pipe and increase the diameter you will improve over OEM.

The most important is sound preference and looks

Also, give it some time. It takes a few miles for the carbon to build up and the tone to mellow out. 164

Watch out for in cabin drone as well. I don't have it with my Zoomers, which I am very happy about.
