Lookin to dial up the power on my 08 Frontier. been shoppin C.A.I.s and tuners. any info would be appreciated. so far im leaning toward an Airraid intake ($220) and a Hypertech tuner ($320ish) on truckaddons.com. also, can someone tell me about the intake manifold spacer i read about? thanks

Welcome to "The Spot." CAI HP improvements are small at best. With the tuner you can advance your timing 2 degrees. That should be a noticable difference. A set of headers will help as well. As for the IMS, there have been issues with some of the designs not sealing properly leaks.

I bought my series 77 from here http://www.4filters.com/index.html. An intake without exhaust will not give you as much.

I sold my IMS and my Superchip Cortex. A tuner is worth it. I was going to go with UPrev, but hypertech seems to be the best choice for a guy now down to Volant CAI and superflow cat-back. I don't think i'll be doing anymore performance mods, such as headers and IMS.

whats this im reading about loosing low end torque with some of these intakes?

You do, but gain it at the end of the power band. It was better once I installed my exhaust.
