LSD/ Locker options?
#26
A friend of mine is a SM at a dealership in Houston. He is trying to confirm or deny our question. I should have some more info today. Seems Dawg would be able to find out he builds/engineers Titans.. 179

Check it out:

The Truetrac we make for the Titan is a Dana 44 with 32 spline. This
unit also fits the Xterra if it has a manual transmission. I have not
had anyone tell me that it would or would not fit a Frontier but if you
have a Dana 44 with 32 spline it might be worth a look.

Just found on CF

brians7 Wrote:I got it intalled today. Without a hitch. No cutting or griding or modifacation of any kind to make it work. Like some other have suggested. I dont feel any difference in the way it drives on the street. When I use to excelrate out of the hole I could easily boil one tire. Maybe tomorrow I will try and see what happens. Sunday I will go and try to find some mud. But the bottom line is the true track that fits the titan absolutly works in the frontier if you have the dana m226. Thanks brian

Here is where Rossi and I got ours. Ordered carrier bearings too but I cant find the link to them. 163
Anyone gonna put one of these on? A local Titan guy has his 4x2 prerunner style and takes his truck to the desert all the time and does some amazing stuff with just the 4x2 tru-traced.. 165

Uh, I would change your priorities bro... Trust me.. Higher is good but... Outta control traction is better (or non-traction) depending on what you are driving on. Take it easy and get used to it before goin crazy. Like I said the truck will grab and move like no other.... I wish I had better words to expain it but I dont.. 165

I just put $4000 towords the truck payments, all tapped out this month. A lift is cheaper than an LS... so its a little easier to save up for. Plus, I got the Nismo locker if I need extra traction. TT is for sure 2nd priority, even before wheels/tires.

The electronic locker would probably be the biggest pain since everything in our trucks is controlled by the ECU

not a D35, a bastardized D44 yes.

if these get you sideways in rain, not sure I'd want to see what it does in snow. lots of benefit on road (dry), wish there was more benefit offroad (no desert out here, just mud, rocks and trees)

I'd rather purchase the LSD over the UpRev...would be nice to get WOT at 0 but can't go wrong with LSD when you like to go offroading

i GOT A question...does the rules for speed apply to LSD? Do you need to disactive the LSD when traveling over 60mph? Or is this a permanent thing?
